Days after the death of his father, Adeyemi Kosoko, musician, Adekunle Gold, was left in tears in a video clip circulating online. The video shows the “Orente” singer weeping as he performed final rites at the close-knit funeral event.
The video of the singer fighting back tears at the gravesite in his traditional attire has since gone viral.
Prince Adeyemi Kosoko passed away on Tuesday after a brief illness, having served as a permanent secretary at the Lagos State Ministry of Education since December until his death.
When his father was sworn in as a permanent secretary by former Lagos state governor, Akinwunmi Ambode last December, Adekunle Gold had shed tears of joy along with a heartfelt message.
He had described his father as a man who works very hard and refused to cut corners throughout his life. According to him, it was the late man’s ultimate dream to become a permanent secretary in Lagos, the land of his birth.
