The Director-General of the APC presidential campaign, Lalong revealed this after inspecting the facilities at the campaign headquarters in Abuja.
The spokesmen for the Borno State Governor, Makut Macham, in a statement released on Saturday in Jos, the state capital said his principal was received at the headquarters by the secretary of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, James Faleke.
According to Macham, Lalong also met with some staff of the campaign team ahead of the 2023 general elections.
The statement reads, “The DG also held a closed-door meeting with the APC Presidential Candidate, Bola Tinubu, at the headquarters.
“The duo thereafter held another meeting with the Speaker, House of Representatives, Mr Femi Gbajabiamila, and some lawmakers from State Houses of Assembly.”
This is coming after Lalong dragged the Pope into the controversy around the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the ruling party.
The APC Chieftain had claimed that the Pope was not displeased with his decision to accept the position of the APC presidential campaign DG.
Catholic in its reaction to the statement of the Governor condemned him for dragging the Pope into political issues, to which he apologized.
