The singer, whose real name is Olubankole Wellington, made the revelation while celebrating his wife, Adesua Etomi, on her birthday in a post shared on his Instagram page.

In the post, Banky W noted that he specifically told God he did not want to marry someone in the entertainment industry when he was ready for a wife. He said he wanted a 9 to 5 career lady in banking, telecommunications, aviation, or oil and gas, and did not want someone with a career as crazy as his.

However, Banky W and Adesua’s love story defied his expectations as they both found each other despite not meeting the criteria they had set for themselves. He revealed that when Adesua prayed for her husband, she specifically told God she did not want a musician, politician, or pastor.

Despite their prayers, Banky W and Adesua’s paths crossed, and they got married almost six years ago. According to Banky W, it is crystal clear that God’s plans were much better than anything they could have dreamt for themselves.

Banky W also expressed his love for his wife, thanking her for loving him and birthing their child, Z. He added that nobody is perfect, but Adesua is perfect for him. He ended the post by declaring his love for her, saying he will love her forever.
