My TESCOM Board Appointment Will Revolutionalise Learning In Lagos Schools – Olusegun Agbaje

Eko Hot Blog reports that Former Chairman of Epe Local Government, Hon. Olusegun Jamiu Agbaje, has been appointed to the Board of the Lagos State Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM).
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, appointed the former Epe LG boss on Friday, December 8, 2023.
In an exclusive phone interview with Eko Hot Blog, Hon Agbaje revealed how honoured he felt by the appointment and how it will positively have an impact in the educational sector of the economy.
“I feel honoured and energized to serve my dear Lagos State, by so doing I can contribute my quota to her development while upholding the THEMES AGENDA of Mr. Governor,” he said.
“The appointment will positively effect lives of pupils in public secondary school in the state through diverse approach to learning, this is quite different from the terrestrial way of education.
“Pupils can engage more in projects and workshops and acquire the needed skills that will not only be useful within the four walls of the school.”

The former Epe LG chairman also disclosed his vision and mission as a new appointee, stating that with his experience in public administration, much will be achieved in Lagos State.
“With my experience and skills in public administration, a better educational sector in Lagos State is possible,” Agbaje affirmed.
“This can be achieved through continuous investment in development of teachers through seminars and workshops, public enlightenment programs on radio, television and social media, use of technology for Digital learning, provision of e-books to meet international standard, provision of supportive learning environment through upgrade in school facilities to aid mental well being.”
He concluded by appreciating the governor for giving him the opportunity to serve.
“I thank Mr. Governor for giving me this rare opportunity to serve our people in Lagos State. May the Almighty God continue to enrich him in wisdom and knowledge to lead the affairs of our state to greater heights. God bless Nigeria, God bless Lagos State,” he added.

Hon. Agbaje hails from a humble background. He attended Federal Polytechnic Ilaro and has a remarkable track record, serving as the former National Treasurer of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) and as the former Executive Chairman of Epe Local Government.
