EKO HOT BLOG reports that Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has said he has forgiven all those who worked against his re-election bid during the governorship polls. He made this known during an appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Tuesday.
Mohammed said he was willing to offer the olive branch to whoever wants to join him, including major stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the state who feel they are not carried along.
He added that he would ensure that all the division and rancour within the PDP in the state is resolved, saying “My own is to make sure I unify everybody.”
Mohammed also spoke about his relationship with some key figures in Bauchi State, including former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, and former Governor of Bauchi State, Adamu Mu’azu.
According to him, Dogara was never with them, and Mu’azu was only an admirer of their presidential candidate. He noted that Mu’azu had always been his traditional foe, and was always looking for his pound of flesh.
The governor added that he had no problems with Wazirin, stating that it was obvious “he didn’t want me to be governor and he told everybody he didn’t want me.” He also promised to reach out to those who feel they are the major stakeholders and are losing out.
Mohammed won the governorship polls last Saturday, securing a second term in office.
