It was just like a mystery as a year and two-month-old baby found reciting the National Anthem of Nigeria.
The amazing act was done by the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kareem at Ilasan Jakande Housing Estate, Lekki, Lagos, today, Friday 22nd May 2020.
The baby whose name is Mardiyyah Abdul Kareem could easily recognize and grab anything happening within her area.
Passers-by and residents were surprised to see a toddler reciting what some graduate students could not.
Our reporter who met with her parents was told that she had not started schooling yet, but always mingle with other children playing and studying with them within the short period of closure of schools.
Mardiyyah’s Mother, Basirat Kareem, said that the plan she had for the baby was to resume school by the new session before the advent of COVID-19.
She added, however, that her mixing up with other children has really helped her, saying that when she finally resumes school her teacher would be happy to have her as a pupil.
“No one is an island of knowledge and no one can know from isolation, rather one can only know through the mixing up with learned people,” she said.

A resident, Joy Akpan, said she had noticed the strange quality in the baby for long as she happened to be one of those that take care of her whenever her parents are not at home.
“The National Anthem which someone that needed to be approved as minister could not read, a toddler is reading it,” she said, “God is wonderful. I prayer that may she be brilliant more when she finally gets to school.”
