N13.5 Billion Fraud: Nigerians React As Interpol And FBI Arrest Hushpuppi Over

Nigerians have reacted to the alleged arrest of Dubai based Nigerian socialites, Hushpuppi and Mr. Woodberry over alleged fraudulent activities.

They were allegedly arrested at their Versace Apartments at 2pm UAE time by some officials of the International Police (Interpol) in conjunction with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

While there is no official statement available on the alleged arrest, there are several unconfirmed reports online, one of which claimed Hushpuppi and Mr Woodberry were arrested for diverting $35million in unemployment benefits for US citizens affected by COVID-19.

@MrOdanz wrote: “Today is just one of those days that Nigerians will frown at fraud, ramble about how fraud is evil. But deep down they’ve always wished to have Hushpuppi’s money, they admire Diezani, Mompha and other fraudsters. But let’s act all saintly today and condemn fraud and corruption.”

@nappyblaze wrote: “So Interpol arrested Hushpuppi in Dubai for fraud but MTN is still giving us 6GB that lasts for just 2 days. EFCC weldone!”

@dreylofr wrote: “Don’t rush into conclusions about things you don’t know.
As hushpuppi is into real estate, maybe interpol just want to show him a room they want to CELL.”

@alameen wrote: “I’m happy Hushpuppi and his likes are getting arrested daily by interpol, Let other young Nigerians knw there are consequences for Fraud. You won’t knw the damages yahoo boys has done to this country until you are abt to get a job from a foreigner and tells him you are Nigerian.”
