N21bn Legacy Project Unveiled: Buhari To Inaugurate Medical Centre In Abuja

• President Buhari is set to inaugurate a new Presidential/VIP Wing at the State House Medical Centre in Abuja.

• The project cost N21bn and features specialized medical departments, including X-ray and diagnostic suites.

• The hospital is designed to cater to the President, Vice President, their immediate families, and other VIPs,

Eko Hot Blog reports that President Major General Muhammadu Buhari  is scheduled to inaugurate the Presidential/VIP Wing of the State House Medical Centre in Abuja on Friday.

This follows his recent return from a medical trip to London, the United Kingdom.

The inauguration ceremony will take place soon and is expected to include a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a guided tour of the hospital with Tijjani Umar,  the Permanent Secretary of the State House.

Abiodun Oladunjoye, the State House Director of Information, confirmed these details in a statement. It is worth noting that the project cost N21bn.

According to the statement, titled ‘President Buhari to inaugurate Presidential/VIP Wing Of State House Medical Centre on Friday,’ guests invited to the inauguration ceremony are expected to be seated by 9am.

The legacy project, situated on the premises of the Presidential Villa, had its ground-breaking ceremony conducted by the Chief of Staff to the President, Prof. Ibrahim Gambari, on November 1, 2021.

The hospital, built on 2,485 square metres, is a specialised Intensive Care Centre to cater for the President, Vice President, their immediate families and other VIPs.

“The presidential/VIP Wing houses several specialised departments, to be staffed by a team of medical professionals, featuring five consultation rooms dedicated to various specialties, including respiratory, cardiology, ophthalmology, ENT, and general consultation.
