Court Acquits Ex-Plateau Gov. Jang, Yusuf Pam Of Criminal Charges
EKO HOT BLOG reports that a Plateau State High Court sitting in Jos has discharged and acquitted the former Governor of Plateau State, Jonah Jang, of N6.3 billion corruption charges.
The presiding judge, Justice Christy Dabup, in a judgement delivered on Friday, dismised the corruption charges levelled against Jang by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Justice Dabup also discharged Jang’s co-defendant, Yusuf Pam, a former cashier in the office of the Secretary to the Plateau State Government.
This online media platform understands that the said suit has lingered for over four years.
The case file claimed that Jang and Pam misappropriated the sum of N6.3bn before they vacated office in 2015, an allegation that they denied.
Earlier, heavily armed personnel of the Nigeria Police Force and the Department of State Security (DSS) were stationed at every point leading to the court premises.
It was learned that those driving into the court premises as well as those walking to the area were stopped and questioned by security officers before they were allowed in, while others were refused entry.
