EKO HOT BLOG reports that earlier on Thursday, two pilots from the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) narrowly escaped death when a Super Mushshak NAF aircraft crashed.
According to a statement released on Thursday evening by the Director of Public Relations and Information of the NAF, AVM Edward Gabkwet, the mishap occurred around 2:35 pm.
Gabkwet mentioned that the incident took place approximately 3.5 nautical miles from Kaduna Military Airfield, involving pilots who were returning from a routine training flight. Despite the crash, both pilots emerged unharmed, as confirmed by the NAF spokesman.
“The accident, which occurred at about 3.5 nautical miles from Kaduna Military airfield, involved 2 pilots who were returning from a routine training flight. Luckily, both pilots came out of the crash unscathed,” he said.
According to Gabkwet, the Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, has directed a preliminary investigation into the accident to ascertain the immediate cause of the crash.
