EKO HOT BLOG reports that the leadership of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), on Monday, met with popular Kaduna-based Islamic cleric, Sheik Ahmed Gumi.
It was gathered that the leadership of the association met with Gumi in Kaduna to discuss actions and efforts to ensure the safety and security of students in the country.
The latest development was made known via a statement by the National President of NANS, Sunday Asefon, on Monday.
Asefon noted that NANS will leave no stone unturned until schools are safe across the country.
He said, “We will continue to engage and dialogue with stakeholders to ensure school safety.

“We extend our commitment to continuous dialogue for the release of students in captivity and all-round efforts to ensure schools become safer so that our students can be free from the fear and trauma of kidnapping,” the NANS President stated.
