According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, via Yahoo Sports, Napoli have secured a deal valued at £25.4 million, along with a clause that entitles United to a percentage of any future sale of the Scottish midfielder.
McTominay has yet to agree on personal terms with Napoli but has just 12 months left on his current contract at Old Trafford. His sale, classified as pure profit for United due to his homegrown status, could pave the way for the club to make a late move for PSG’s Manuel Ugarte.
Napoli remains optimistic about adding McTominay to their squad, along with his international teammate Billy Gilmour and striker Romelu Lukaku. Sporting director Giovanni Manna has reportedly been in England over the weekend, working to finalize deals for all three players.
