Osimhen, who has been pivotal for Napoli in recent seasons, is speculated to depart if his suitors meet the club’s asking price by the end of the season.
Osimhen’s impressive performance last season, tallying 26 goals and five assists in 32 league games, caught the eye of elite clubs such as Paris Saint Germain, Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal.
His contributions were instrumental in Napoli clinching their first league title in 33 years.
Despite Osimhen’s contract extension with Napoli in December 2023, both the Nigerian international and the Italian club are set on parting ways this summer.
Consequently, several strikers, including Super Eagles’ talents Victor Boniface and Terem Moffi, have been rumored as potential replacements for Osimhen.
Moffi has been one of the most prolific strikers in French Ligue 1 so far this season in which he has scored 11 goals for OGC Nice.
Though the 23-year-old Nigerian striker is currently under contract with Nice until June 30, 2027, PSG could price him away from the side this summer if they decide to.
Another contender is Boniface, who has been in sensational form at Bayer Leverkusen since his arrival last summer.
Despite a three-month injury layoff, the 23-year-old striker has amassed 18 goals and 10 assists in 29 games across all competitions this season.
