Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule, has dissolved the state executive council, terminating the appointments of commissioners, senior special assistants, special assistants, and personal assistants.
The dismissal also extends to Barrister Muhammad Aliyu-Ubamdoma, who served as the Secretary to the State Government (SSG).
The announcement was made during a special emergency executive meeting at the Government House in Lafia on Friday, shortly after Vice President Kashim Shettima’s visit to the state for a one-day working engagement to commission several projects.

While no official reason was provided for the dissolution, a senior government official suggested it aligns with the governor’s efforts to restructure the state’s administration.
Governor Sule had undertaken a similar dissolution in 2021, emphasizing the need for more efficient governance.
Citizens now await further updates on the implications of this decision and the future of Nasarawa’s administrative framework.
These developments indicate significant administrative overhauls in both states, aimed at improving governance and service delivery.
