NASS suspends first plenary in honour of late colleague, Muhammad Gawo
Both chambers of the National assembly suspended Plenary today in Accordance with its tradition, in honour of the death of one of its members in the House of Representatives, Honorable Muhammad Gawo representing Garki/Babura constituency in Jigawa state.
The National Assembly resumed sitting today after a six weeks long break for the Christmas and New year celebration.
After a closed door session which lasted for about 30 minutes, the Senate resolved to deliberate the Security challenges of the country at its next legislative sitting.
According to reports, the lawmaker died in Dubai while undergoing medical treatment after battling a disease associated with his legs.

After the President of the Senate read his welcome address on the floor of the Senate chamber ,the Lawmakers unanimously agreed to suspend Plenary in honor of their late colleague.
