The Chairman of the National Assembly and President of the Nigerian Senate, Senator Ahmed Lawan, on Monday, disclosed that the federal lawmakers would no longer condone appointees of the President, Muhammadu Buhari, abusing the National Assembly.

He said the President himself had made it clear that he would not tolerate such.

Lawan spoke with State House correspondents shortly after Buhari inaugurated the Executive, Legislative Party Consultative Committee at the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He admonished the President’s appointees who usually go to National Assembly to misrepresent the President’s stand by undermining the constitutional duties of the Lawmakers maintaining that the trend would no longer be welcome.

He stressed that anyone who wanted to see Nigeria progress would continue to ensure that the consultative forum produced the kind of result and outcomes that would make Nigeria better in terms of governance.
