The much anticipated 3 in 1 album launch of a Fuji fast-rising artist from the Fish basket of Lagos, Epe, Prince Adeniyi Salau, held in the heart of Epe on Sunday 30th May 2021 at Epe Jubilee Chalets.

Music, an artistic form of expression of ideas and thoughts deep-rooted in the culture and tradition of people of diverse sociocultural background, is no doubt one of the best forms of entertainment and relaxation.

One of the biggest exports of the Nigerian shore is the Afrobeat, a popular genre created by Fela Kuti. However, other genres, particularly fuji, is also popular among indigenous people of Yoruba extraction and the milestone achievement of a rising star in Epe Division of Lagos State, Adeniyi Salau aka Adeprince, can not be unconnected with the melodic legacies of late legendary fuji music artist, Dr Alhaji Ayinde Sikiru Barrister.

High Chief Oriyomi Ayeola, President, Cooperative Federation of Nigeria.

It is against this background that Chief Dada Ayeola, the National President, Cooperative Federation of Nigeria and the Arobayo of Epe, in his short welcome address, as gathered by Ekohotblog, disclosed that the discovery of the rave of the moment, Adeprince, was an offshoot of his several creations on a platform tagged Barry Lives On.
Ayeola noted that members of the group motivated Adeprince to venture into music with the strong belief that he will deliver beyond expectations. The accolade for AdePrince’s milestone achievement for releasing 3 albums for a start was well acknowledged.

“It is not out of place for Adeprince to join music greats such as Late Ligali Mukaiba (Apala Music Maestro) and Azeez Salami aka Saoti Arewa.
During an album launch of this kind, music artists release an album but his (Adeprince) is 3 in 1. The content of his music delivery motivated us to grace this occasion and it is stunning to know that at a time like this, another music artist is rising in Epe,” he stated.

Adeprince while also speaking in an interview with Ekohotblog disclosed that the fact that he came into the music scene at a later age inspired him to do exploits by grinding hard.
Being aware of the vast music talents springing up from all over the country, he noted that coming out to venture into music at his age gave him the impetus to produce 3 albums at a go, a rare feat in the music industry for a fast-rising Fuji music artist.

He lamented the fact that the industry doesn’t favour new entrants as ready-made music artists are hard to come by for collaborative support. He also noted that it was his wish to feature top Fuji music artists on the albums but as fate would have it, he couldn’t.

Although he confessed how the COVID outbreak impeded the pace of the album release, Adeprince was however thankful to God, his supportive family members, the Salaus of Poka Kingdom, Epe, Alhaji Taye Currency, his adorable wife, fans, well-wishers for being a strong pillar to lean on for the success of the project.

Adeprince, therefore, urged members of the public to patronize his 3 in 1 music albums, Full Option Tribute and Crossover, as they would have every cause to enjoy their value for money.

Earlier, the gathering which had guests like Barrister Tunde Seriki, Commissioner, Lagos State Civil Service Commission, Barrister Oladipupo Shobule, President Lagos State Cooperative Federation, Mrs Ebun Akin Falaye, Lagos State Cooperative Federation executive, and Hon Salau, Eredo LCDA Secretary in attendance, was thrilled by a veteran MC from Faaji Fm, Ibadan, Oyo State. The MC, who revealed to the gathering that his favourite music artist is the late Apala music legend, Chief Ligali Mukaiba, took the audience down memory lane of hit songs by the Epe born music maestro.

Ifankaleluya, a music comedian, to some extent, got the audience in some rib-cracking music and comedy sessions as he invited special guests one after the other to launch the album. Fans, family and friends from overseas also called in to launch the album.

Music Association of Nigeria members, MAN, Islamic Musicians Association of Nigeria members, ISMAN, community groups, associations, amongst others were on the ground. Olubanbi and other Fuji musicians also featured on stage before Adeprince mesmerized the audience with songs from his albums.
