Shocking Murder: Native Doctor, Accomplices Nabbed In Edo Student’s Killing

Eko Hot Blog reports that, in a shocking turn of events, the Edo State Police have apprehended a native doctor and two other suspects in connection with the alleged murder of Faith Omodon, a 200-level student at Delta State University, Agbor.

The primary suspect, identified as 26-year-old Chukwuyem Jonah, a native doctor, is believed to have orchestrated the crime.

According to police authorities, Omodon went missing on April 1 in the Iru Egbede community, Orhionmwon Local Government Area of Edo State, after failing to return from a farm visit. Investigations revealed that the student was strangled to death after resisting her abduction.

The police stated, “The suspects confessed that they were resisted by Faith Omodon, and in the process they strangulated her to death.”

The two accomplices, Godspower Chukwuedo, 23, and Christopher Nwachukwu, 22, were allegedly promised N30,000 by Jonah for carrying out the kidnapping.

Consequently, Omodon’s father sought police intervention, leading to an initial inquiry by the Abudu Division before the case was transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Benin City.

The police authorities have assured that they are currently investigating the case to recover the deceased’s body and bring the suspects to court.
