A herbalist identified as Pa Wedu has been arrested by the police for the murder of late John Okoro when the family did not see the return of their father after his four days visit to the herbalist.
According to the deceased family, their father had been a client of the herbalist and had came back one night and told them that he would be going for a particular ritual in a far away river (river weji) in another village and would spend three nights and days.
According to report, suspicion aroused when the victim’s family after four days from Pa Wedu who told them that he had not seen their father for two weeks.

The incident was said to have drawn attention of unsuspecting members of the village that had known the man as a simple native doctor.
According to the family, “He had never told us any of his secret deals with Pa Wedu, except this particular ritual he said had scared him and he would be travelling to another village and spend three days.”
It was said that the villagers seized the native doctor and beat him mercilessly until he confessed that the had buried the victim’s body in a nearby village which was dug by the villagers.
The police who confirmed the incident said that the native doctor had been arrested and on searching his house, the victim’s phone and other belongings were seen there.
