NBA 2022: Lagos CJ Tasks Lawyers To Restore Pride Of Legal Profession

Hon. Justice Kazeem Alogba has tasked lawyers to pride of legal profession

 

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Chief Judge of Lagos State, Hon. Justice Kazeem Alogba, has declared open the 62nd edition of the Annual General Conference of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) on behalf of the Acting Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon. Justice Olukayode Ariwoola.

In his remarks during the conference taking place at the Eko Atlantic City from August 19 to August 23, 2022, with the theme: “Bold Transitions”, the Lagos Chief Judge expressed eagerness to see the legal profession return to its pride of place in the nation.

 

 

His words: “The theme of the Y2022 Annual General Conference is apt because we are in a period when boldness becomes necessary. So, no better theme could have been chosen, and no better words could have been selected to highlight what we truly need in Nigeria at the moment”.

Justice Alogba underscored the need for the legal profession to return to base, where lawyers are given audience and respect on occasions, saying: “We must do everything possible to ensure that we return to those good old days, so as to leave a good legacy for the upcoming generation.
