NCDC Records Another Spike In COVID-19 Fatalities

  • Total cases confirmed – 191,345
  • Total cases discharged – 178,283
  • Total deaths recorded – 2,454

The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 191,345 COVID-19 cases.

In its latest case update dated August 29, the NCDC reports 362 new cases with 93 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 14 states – Lagos-200, Oyo-33, Kwara-30, Akwa Ibom-24, Ogun-17, Delta-15, Ekiti-15, Plateau-7, Rivers-7, FCT-5, Anambra-3, Edo-3, Bayelsa-1, Kaduna-1 and Kano-1.

According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Nasarawa, Ondo, Osun and Sokoto.

EKO HOT BLOG gathers that out of the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria, 178,283 cases have been discharged while the death toll has risen to 2,454.
