The latest figures by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) confirms that Nigeria now has a total of 209,173 COVID-19 cases.
In its latest case update dated October 16, the NCDC reports 376 new cases with 35 COVID-related deaths.

The new cases were reported in the FCT and 13 states – Lagos (215), Rivers (82), Ondo (16), Imo (14), Plateau (12), Kaduna (10), Kwara (9), Ekiti (4), Bauchi (3), Delta (3), Kano (3), Sokoto (3), Nasarawa (1), and Oyo (1)
According to the NCDC, 0 cases were in reported in Ogun and Osun States.
