There was drama in the house of representatives on Thursday after the acting managing director of the the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Kemebradikumo Pondei, walked out on a panel investigating the dealings of the commission.
At the meeting of the house committee on NDDC on Thursday, Pondei refused to be part of the the session after insisting that Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, its chairman, Tunji-Ojo, will not preside.
He said Tunji-Ojo had been linked with the alleged fraud at the NDDC and so, cannot preside over the same matter in which he is an accused.
Infuriated by Pondei’s action, members of the committee issued an arrest warrant against the NDDC acting MD and other members of the interim management committee.
