NDLEA Apprehends Woman Smuggling Cocaine in Private Parts to Iran

• NDLEA operatives at the MMIA intercepted a British national, Campell Kaizra Kofi Johannes Slifer
• Slifer was found with two suitcases containing 35 parcels of Loud, a potent strain of cannabis weighing 37.60kg.

The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announced on Sunday that its operatives had successfully prevented a woman, Ihensekhien Miracle Obehi, from smuggling a large amount of cocaine to Iran.

Eko Hot Blog reports that Obehi had disguised herself with a hijab and concealed the drug within her body, stomach, and a false compartment in her handbag.

The incident occurred at the Port Harcourt International Airport in Rivers State.

In addition, NDLEA operatives at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA) in Ikeja, Lagos intercepted a 22-year-old British national, Campell Kaizra Kofi Johannes Slifer, who was arriving from Thailand via Doha on a Qatar Airways flight.

Slifer was found with two suitcases containing 35 parcels of Loud, a potent strain of cannabis weighing 37.60kg.

According to the agency’s spokesman, Femi Babafemi, Obehi was apprehended on Sunday, May 3rd, 2025, at the Port Harcourt airport’s departure hall. Obehi was dressed in a hijab to bypass security checks while attempting to board a Qatar Airline flight to Iran via Doha.

Following reliable intelligence, a search was conducted, which revealed that Obehi had inserted three wraps of cocaine in her private area and had hidden two large parcels in false compartments of her handbag. She had also swallowed 67 pellets of the Class A drug.

“As a result, she was placed under excretion observation and after four excretions that lasted days, she expelled the 67 wraps of the substance in her stomach.

“She claimed she was to swallow 70 pellets of cocaine but after ingesting 67 pieces she could no longer swallow the remaining three and decided to insert them into her private part.
