NDLEA Under Investigation Over MohBad’s Death – Police

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Commissioner of Police in Lagos State, Idowu Owohunwa, on Friday, said the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) is being investigated over the death of late 27-year-old singer, Mohbad.

The Commissioner of Police revealed this during a press briefing held on Friday.

Recall that the late singer in a video that went viral after his death claimed he was arrested by law enforcement agents.

Mohbad said, “They gave me water inside a white bottle to drink. They said I was using drugs. I was the only one who drank it, they didn’t give others to drink. And they immediately told me to go home and told the others to wait.

“They even hit a gun on my head. I saved Zino in that video but Zino snitched on me.”

The Commissioner of Police, while giving an update on the investigation around Mohbad’s death, said, “The NDLEA is also being investigated to see if they are complicit based on his video during the arrest.”

This online media recalls that Mohbad died on the 12th of September, 2023 and was buried in Ikordodu, Lagos State.

The state police command following the death of the singer had detained the likes of Naira Marley, Sam Larry and several others.
