EKO HOT BLOG reports are the Chairman of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, Brig-Gen Buba Marwa has written to the Chairman of the All Progressive Congress APC, Sen Abdullahi Adamu, requesting that the NDLEA be given access to conduct drug integrity tests for aspirants seeking Political offices under the party.
Marwa stated that he would do the same to the PDP, and other parties, when they are ready to conduct their primaries as well.
The NDLEA boss, who spoke at the agency’s first quarter award event in Abuja, stated that the drug test is necessary to ensure that politicians in positions of power do not utilize budgetary allocations to access illegal drugs instead of providing vital services to the people.

In preparation for the primaries, the APC started the sales of nomination forms on Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the party’s national secretariat, Abuja, while congresses to elect State delegates for the primaries hold from 7th to 9th May.
As previously stated, the prices for the Presidential normination form still stands at N100Million, with a 50% discount for all women and also for men below the age of 40.
Aspirants on the platform of the ruling party have until 10th of May to complete and submit their forms and other documents to the party’s national secretariat, Abuja.
