Eko Hot Blog reports that a major infrastructure project has been completed in the Alimosho Local Government Area with the construction of the Babafemi Dada with Bridge, Yinka Folarin, Jamiu Lawal and Shalom Academy Road Network.
The project, announced on the Lagos State Government page, consists of a “1.57km semi-rigid pavement road and a 250m long deck on piles bridge that replaces a former wooden bridge used by motorists.”
This new bridge and upgraded road network will provide a significant improvement in transportation for residents and motorists in the area. The old wooden bridge had become a bottleneck and safety hazard that has now been eliminated.
A post on the Lagos State official page reads:
“Construction of Babafemi Dada with Bridge, Yinka Folarin, Jamiu Lawal and Shalom Academy Road Network in Alimosho Local Government Area consists 1.57Km semi-rigid pavement road and a 250m long deck on piles bridge that replaces a former wooden bridge used by motorists.”
The new semi-rigid pavement road spanning 1.57km along with the 250-meter bridge deck will allow for smoother and safer travel through this area of Alimosho. Residents and commuters had long complained about the outdated wooden bridge, which was a severe traffic chokepoint.
With this project now completed, the Lagos State Government has again demonstrated its commitment to modernizing infrastructure and improving transportation networks across the region. The new bridge and upgraded roads will benefit thousands of Alimosho residents and businesses for years to come.
