Barely two day after appointment, the new Chief of Army Staff, Major General Ibrahim Attahiru has officially resumed duty.
Ibrahim Attahiru resumed officially after a hand over ceremony at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
During the ceremony at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja, Buratai urged military officers to cooperate with Attahiru.
President Muhammadu Buhari had last three days ago accepted the resignation of his former service chiefs.
Also in a statement, “President Buhari thanks the outgoing Chiefs for what he calls their “overwhelming achievements in our efforts at bringing enduring peace to our dear country,” wishing them well in their future endeavours”.
Following the retirement of the immediate past Service Chiefs, President Muhammadu Buhari had approved the appointment of their replacement.
The new Service Chiefs include;

Addressing the new Service Chiefs, Buhari charged them to be patriotic in the discharge of their duties.
