During the proclamation of the 8th Assembly, Adewale Egbedun emerged as the Speaker, and Governor Adeleke expressed the need for their support in achieving the administration’s five-point agenda.

Governor Adeleke stated, “That goal is only achievable with a supportive Assembly. The exercise of your power for the people and public good is my solicitation.”

He highlighted the shared vision of building a prosperous Osun State and urged the Assembly to unite with the executive arm for a harmonious relationship.

Egbedun, upon his election as Speaker, expressed gratitude to his colleagues for their support and called for unity among all contestants in leading the parliament. He assured the opposition member of the House, Femi Popoola, that he would receive all due privileges.
