Eric Chelle, the newly appointed head coach of the Super Eagles, has expressed his pride and excitement at taking on the role.
Chelle, 47, was officially introduced at a grand ceremony held in the media conference room of the Moshood Abiola Stadium in Abuja on Monday. He left his position as head coach of Algerian club MC Oran to accept the offer to manage the Nigerian national team.

“I’m proud and honored to be the new head coach of the Super Eagles,” Chelle said during his unveiling.
“Nigeria has a rich football history with amazing players like Ikpeba, Amokachi, Amuneke, Yekini, Oliseh, Eguavoen, Finidi, West, Obi Mikel, and Babangida. I admired them as a fan, and now we have another great generation with players like Lookman and Osimhen.”
The former Lens defender also shared his coaching philosophy: “I love attacking football. My teams always score goals, and the Super Eagles will not be an exception – we will focus on scoring goalsgoals.”
