EKO HOT BLOG reports that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star Neymar has been ruled out of the rest of the season due to an ankle injury that requires surgery, the club announced on Tuesday.
The Brazilian forward suffered the injury during PSG’s win over Lille on February 19, and following medical examinations, the club’s medical team recommended a ligament repair operation to avoid the risk of recurrence.

PSG confirmed in an official statement that Neymar is expected to be out for three to four months, meaning he will miss the remainder of the current campaign.
The absence of Neymar is a significant blow for PSG as they compete for the Ligue 1 title and the Champions League trophy.
Neymar has been in great form for PSG this season, scoring quite a couple of goals and providing assists to inspire the Ligue 1 club to the top spot of the league.
He is set to miss the return fixture against Bayern Munich, with the Bundesliga side currently with a goal ahead in the aggregate ratings.
Neymar has had quite the mixed season following a strong start to the season that led to the Qatar World Cup and eventual heartbreak to Croatia.

“Following his last sprain contracted on February 20, the medical staff of Paris Saint-Germain recommended a ligament repair operation, in order to avoid a major risk of recurrence.
“All of the experts consulted confirmed this need. A delay of three to four months is expected before his return to collective training,” an official club statement reads.
