  • According to Paris publication, Le Parisien, Chelsea are eager to land the 31 year-old to Stamford Bridge.

  • Other reports state that the Brazilian has been offered to other clubs such as Liverpool as they look to move on the player from Paris.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that Chelsea owner, Todd Boehly, reportedly held talks with Paris Saint-Germain president, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, to discuss the possibility of signing Brazilian forward, Neymar, who is said to be up for sale this summer.

According to French publication, Le Parisien, Chelsea are eager to bring the 31-year-old to Stamford Bridge next season.

Neymar was signed by PSG from Barcelona in 2017 for around £200 million, and his current contract with the French club is set to expire in 2025.

Despite his age, the Brazilian international is not expected to come cheap, and reports suggest that Chelsea will have to pay a significant sum to secure his services.

The news of Chelsea’s interest in Neymar comes just days after the forward was reported to have had a dispute with PSG’s club director, Luis Campos, following the team’s defeat to AS Monaco.

Campos had criticized some of the players for lacking courage and appearing disheartened, which reportedly led to a heated argument between him, Neymar, and club captain, Marquinhos.

Despite the reported dispute, Neymar played in PSG’s recent Champions League match against Bayern Munich, but was unable to help the team avoid a 1-0 defeat.

Neymar has enjoyed a successful season at PSG, scoring 17 goals and providing 16 assists in 28 games across all competitions. He is part of a formidable attacking trio at the club, which also includes Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe.

Neymar made the move from Brazilian club Santos FC to Barcelona in 2013, and went on to score 105 goals in 186 appearances for the Catalan giants. He has also scored 77 goals in 124 games for the Brazilian national team, alongside the late Pele, which is a record for the country.
