NGO Set To Hold Child Security and Safety Seminar

A Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO), Child Safety and Protection Initiative, will on February 22 and 29, hold a two-day programme to raise awareness about child security and safety.

The event, tagged, “Breakfast with Parenting and Caregivers on Children Security and Safety” is for parents, teachers and caregivers.

The program will address the nature and scope of safety and security for children, parents and caregivers with knowledge and skills they need to recognise, avoid and report safety and security threats.

Security experts will be available to also educate parents on child abuse prevention in this 21st-century parenting.

The convener and president of the organisation, Richard Amunwa, said that the initiative is a free seminar to educate parents and caregivers on children’s security and safety to further prevent them from getting harmed, especially in a society were insecurity is on the rise.
