This online media platform recalls that the NiDCOM Boss earlier bagged the “Integrity Icon of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Awards” and “Gold Medalist in Public Administration,” both by the Centre for Ethics and Self-value Orientation.
Speaking during the visit to Dabiri-Erewa in Abuja, Anthony Chinedu Osuji, the Country Director, EAI (Sierra Leone), said the award was to honour the NiDCOM Boss for her selfless efforts, doggedness, humaneness and strategic leadership in the Diaspora.
Receiving the award on her behalf, Engr. Dr. Sule Yakubu Bassi, the Secretary to the Commission, thanked the group for singling the Chairman for this recognition.
Bassi gave the assurance that the award will encourage the Commission to work more in engaging with the Diaspora and harnessing its human and material resources for national development.
The EAI is a voluntary, think-tank organisation founded in 2017 aimed at debating government issues, promoting educational policies and economic development as well as supporting the government in West Africa in areas such as Strategic Communication, Education and Youth Empowerment.
The Institute has offices across West Africa, with its regional office in Sierra Leone.
