The Commission made this known through its official Twitter handle.
The exercise is carried out in partnership with National Identity Management Commission.
Nigerians in the Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM) has commenced the data capturing of Nigerians living abroad in with the Commission’s core objectives.
The Commission which disclosed this through its verified Twitter handle stated that the essence of the exercise is to assist the Commission gather adequate data of Nigerians residing abroad in order to ensure effective planning.

The information further revealed that the flag-off of the exercise was done in conjunction with National Identity Management Commission where the enrolment took the Commission to some parts of West Africa, Europe, Asia and America.
The Commission however decried that some of the Nigerians abroad are currently serving jail terms in various prisons which could hinder their enrolment and consequently create a lacuna in the accurate data the Commission would have eventually obtained through the exercise.
