Hon. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Chairman/CEO of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), has said the Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS) remains a vital platform for the Nigerian Diaspora to significantly contribute to the country’s economic growth and development.

Dabiri-Erewa made this statement during a press conference ahead of the 7th Nigeria Diaspora Investment Summit (NDIS 2024) in Abuja.

She recalled that since its inception in 2018, the NDIS has empowered the Diaspora to channel their resources, expertise, and networks into fostering economic growth and creating opportunities for Nigerians at home.

According to her, the NDIS serves as a bridge connecting diaspora investors with local entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and start-ups across various sectors of the Nigerian economy.

Additionally, the NiDCOM boss highlighted the summit’s role in creating jobs, spurring innovation, and diversifying Nigeria’s economic base.

She noted that over the past six years, the summit has evolved into a dynamic forum, facilitating interactions between diaspora investors, potential business partners, sponsors, and government officials.
