The government of South Africa and Nigeria have both reached an agreement to commence the issuance of a 10 years visa duration to businessmen, academic and frequent travelers.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President (Media and Publicity), Garba Shehu revealed that the agreement was reached on Friday during Buhari’s state visit to South Africa. Adding that, the agreement would help to strength socio-cultural, economic and political relations between both countries.

In the bid to curb violence, Shehu noted that both parties has agreed to reestablished the Consular Forum to facilitate the discussion of the welfare of citizens.

“Both countries also agreed to re-establish the consular forum, which is a structured arrangement where both governments meet regularly, at least twice in a year to discuss the welfare of citizens” he said.
