Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission Denies Tonto Dikeh As An Ambassador

The Nigeria Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC) has denied Tonto Dikeh after her claim that she has become the new Ambassador of Peace for the Commission.

Tonto Dikeh took to her Instagram page and told Nigerians that the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission, NCPC has honoured her by appointing her as the new ambassador of peace for the commission.

Her claim generated a lot of comments among Nigerians with many condemning the action of the NCPC Executives.

The Commission has reacted to the Tonto Dikeh’s claim and in its entirety denied her being the Commission’s Ambassador.

The press statement released by the Commission’s Spokesman, Celestine Toruka, stated that Tonto Dikeh paid the Commission an official courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission Rev. Yakubu Pam on 25th February 2021 at the Corporate Headquarters of the Commission in Abuja.

As the founder of Tonto Dikeh Foundation, she expressed her willingness and interest in partnering with the Commission in the area of peacebuilding.

She equally cashed in on the visit to commend the NCPC Boss for his positive and relentless peace initiatives across the country.

Denying her claim, the NCPC spokesman said, “However, we are suddenly inundated with claims from King Tonto Dikeh herself that she has been officially appointed as Ambassador of peace by this great Commission.

“This claim has gone virile in the media. The Commission frowns at the claim which is a clear misrepresentation of what transpired.

“The fact remains that the Executive Secretary of NCPC never appointed King Tonto Dikeh an Ambassador of Peace for NCPC and this was not part of her visit. Therefore, the claim by her is spurious, unfounded and should be discarded and seen by all Nigerians as a figment of her imagination”.

The Commission further said that they appreciate her desire to partner with them in their peacebuilding initiative and the area of Pilgrimage Sponsorship to the Holy land.

However, the Actress and mother of one, has faulted the claim of NCPC and said that the commission has made her a liar, EKO HOT BLOG gathered.

She insisted that they truly appointed her as Ambassador of Peace for the Commission and expressed shock that the Commission denied her.
