A former Aviation Minister in Nigeria, Chief Mbazulike Amaechi has cautioned that if Northern Nigeria refuse to cede power in the 2023 polls, Nigeria would plunge into anarchy.
Amaechi warned that the country may erupt into chaos if the two leading political parties decide to field candidates from the North.
He chastised the Uthman Danfodio mandate which has prompted many Northerners to believe that the region must continue to rule the country.

The First Republic Minister held that for Nigeria to maintain peace and security, the North must yield its desire to sempiternally hold on to power.
Amaechi also commended certain quarters of Northern Nigeria who believe that other geo-political zones should be given the ground to produce Nigeria’s next president.
“If that is the case, that the North wants to keep power in 2023, it might lead to a more serious case in the country and it will affect our continued existence as a nation,” he said.
“If the two parties provide northern candidates, then the two parties in their vision have created a situation that would explode and when it explodes, nobody should be blamed, except the people who have created the situation.”
