- Pfizer vaccine require an ultra-cold temperature of -70°C for storage
The Federal Government has said that the country can store up to 400,000 doses of the expected COVID-19 vaccine.
The Executive Director of the National Primary HEALTH Care Development Agency (NPHCDA), Faisal Shuaib made this known while touring the National Strategic Cold Store in Abuja.
Nigeria expects a delivery of 100,000 doses of the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine by the end of this month.

The Pfizer vaccines require an ultra-cold temperature of -70°C for storage.
According to the NPHCDA Executive Director, the NSCS houses three ultra-cold chain equipment with a combined capacity of 2,100 litres and operate at a temperature of -85 degrees Celsius.
Eko Hot Blog recalls that the Director-General of the Nigerian Institute of Medical Research (NIMR), Babatunde Salako, had said in an interview with The PUNCH that the country does not have enough freezers for storage.
