Colonel Hassan Stan-Labo, a short-service officer trained at the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) and a proud member of the 1979 Nigerian Military School (NMS) Boy set, was renowned for his strategic brilliance and invaluable contributions to national security.
His impassioned commentary and emotional investment in addressing security concerns made him a regular presence on television screens, where he fearlessly advocated for lasting solutions. A veteran with extensive combat experience in Liberia, Sierra Leone, Western Darfur, and the Bakassi Peninsula, Stan-Labo dedicated his life to serving Nigeria, even after his retirement as he spearheaded the ‘FIX NIGERIA NOW!’ initiative.
Hailing from Kachia LGA in Kaduna State, Stan-Labo leaves behind a twin brother, his wife, and children. As the family prepares to bid farewell to this patriotic son of the soil, the military community and security experts across the nation mourn the loss of a true maverick, whose passion for Nigeria’s progress knew no bounds.
