‘Nigeria Is Now The Kidnapping Capital Of The World’ – Cries Grow Louder For The Release Of Abducted University Students

  • Two students of Olabisi Onabanjo Univesity were kidnapped on Sunday
  • The Abductors are demanding a ransom of ₦50 million
  • Nigerians praying earnestly for their safe release

Nigerians have taken to social media to rally round in prayers for as Precious Adeyemo and Abiola Oyefule who were kidnapped on Sunday. The hashtag #PrayForTifeandTosin is currently trending on Twitter.

EKO HOT BLOG gathered that both ladies – who are 300 level students at the Olabisi Onabanjo University College of Agricultural Sciences in the Ayetoro area of Ogun State, were abducted on their way back to their hostels.

It is understood that the abductors have reached out to the families of both ladies and are demanding a ransom to the tune of ₦50 million for their release.

Aisha Yesufu – who is an active political campaigner with a loud voice on Twitter expressed her frustrations, along with other Nigerians who prayed for their safe release.

Kidnappings of students have been making headlines in Nigeria for the past few months especially in primary and secondary schools in the north of the country.

On Monday, abductors made attempts to kidnap primary school children in Rema, Kaduna State, but the children were able to except. It wasn’t the same for the teachers, with three of them taken away.
