Nigeria Records 555 New Cases As COVID-19 Toll Exceeds 40,000
Nigeria Centre for Disease Control on Sunday disclosed that the country has confirmed five hundred and fifty five new case with Lagos, the epicenter of the pandemic in the country, recording one hundred fifty six of the cases.
The agency made the disclosure in its daily situation report of COVID-19 on its official twitter page.
According to the agency, of the 555 new cases, 156 are confirmed in Lagos, Kano-65, Ogun-575, Plateau-54, Oyo-53, Benue-43, FCT-30, Ondo-18, Kaduna-16, Akwa Ibom-13, Gombe-13, Rivers-12, Ekiti-9, Osun-8, Cross River-3, Borno-2, Edo-2, Bayelsa-1.
This brings the total number of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 40,532, with 17,374 discharged and 858 deaths.
