Nigerians on social media have condemned the Federal Government of Nigeria over their decision to lend the sum of $1.2 billion from Brazil.
The Minister of Finance, budget and national planning, Zainab Ahmed had on Tuesday during her appearance before the house of representatives committee on finance, said the money is meant to fund agricultural programmes.
Ahmed urged the national assembly to approve the $1.2 billion loan from the Brazilian government for the “Green Imperative Programme”.

This sparked outrage on Twitter as the decision did not sit right with many Nigerians.
wondering why the government would seek a loan from Brazil, which is also an emerging economy, Nigerians respectively mocked the government saying the country will soon seek help from the Benin Republic or Ghana.
