Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says the unsettling and precarious situation that the perennial and pervasive insecurity has left the country in will not lead to its implosion.

Obasanjo said this on Wednesday during the 108th annual convention of the Nigerian Baptist Convention (NBC).

For weeks on end, there has been  inexorable rise in violent attacks and criminal attacks with sustained attacks on schools, communities, and security facilities across the country.

Eko Hot Blog had reported how Nigeria recorded more than 10 security incidents on Monday as killings and attacks continued across the country.
