Nigerian Air Force Helicopter Crashes In Kaduna, Pilot Survives

A Nigerian Air Force helicopter crashed in Tami village, Kaduna State, at 5 a.m. Monday; the pilot survived, and an investigation is underway.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that a tragic incident occurred early Monday morning when a Nigerian Air Force (NAF) helicopter crashed in Tami village, located in the Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State. The crash happened around 5 a.m., with the loud noise prompting first responders to rush to the scene.

Residents in the area reported witnessing the pilot emerge from the wreckage. Shortly after, a team of military officers from the Nigerian Air Force arrived promptly to secure the crash site and begin an initial investigation into the cause of the incident.

“They cordoned off the crash site to prevent unauthorized access and to ensure the safety of the villagers. The officers also began preliminary assessments to determine the cause of the crash, which remains unknown at this time,” Vanguard quoted one of the locals saying.
