Nigerian Air Force officer David Sangokoya has been awarded the prestigious 2023 International Sword of Honour at the Royal Air Force College Cranwell, United Kingdom.
This was revealed in a statement shared by the Nigerian Air Force on Friday.
The award recognizes Sangokoya, who attended the Modularised Initial Officers’ Training (MIOT) Course 22 from March to September 2023, as the Best International Cadet.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that the Royal Air Force College Cranwell presents the International Sword of Honour annually to the most outstanding international cadet among several courses.
The award was presented to Flying Officer Sangokoya by His Royal Highness, Prince William, on behalf of King Charles III, at the Royal Graduation on September 12, 2024.
Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar, Chief of the Air Staff, congratulated Sangokoya for his remarkable accomplishment, noting that it reflects the officer’s dedication and hard work.
He also praised Sangokoya’s family for their support, which contributed to his success.
