Nigerian Army Will Rout Boko Haram Insurgents In 2021 – Buratai


The Chief of Army Staff, Lt.-Gen. Tukur Buratai says terrorism and insurgency will be a thing of the past in 2021.

Speaking at a sit-out night on Thursday, Buratai said the Nigerian army will shame and annihilate Boko Haram and the Islamic States for West African Province (ISWAP) terrorists this year.

The sit-out which took place at TY Buratai Institute for War and Peace, Buratai in Biu Local Government Area of Borno State, was held to herald the new year.

He disclosed that the Nigerian troops were committed to addressing the challenges of security that pervade the country, adding that things would be remarkably different in 2021.

Buratai implored the troops to instil confidence in Nigerians by going about their work with professionalism, discipline and courage.

He also promised that the Nigerian army officers and men would enjoy a lot of welfare packages in 2021.

“2021 will be very optimistic, totally different with a remarkable difference from 2020.

“I want you to see this task as a challenge which must be done because we are the one that can do it and because Nigerians believe in us that we can do it.
