[BREAKING] Eid-ul-Mawlid: Nigerian Govt Declares Monday Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Monday, September 16th, 2024, as a public holiday in commemoration of Eid-ul-Mawlid, the Islamic festival celebrating the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.

EKO HOT BLOG reports that this announcement was made on Friday through a statement by the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

In the statement, the Minister extended his congratulations to the Muslim community both in Nigeria and abroad, urging them to embrace the values of patience, sacrifice, and resilience during this period.
