Nigerian Hacker In Court For $1m Wire Fraud

A Nigerian hacker, Olumide Ogunremi, was on Thursday docked in a federal court in the United States for his role in an alleged $1 million.

Federal officials said Ogunremi helped run a computer hacking and identity theft scheme that ordered about $1 million in office products after stealing personal information from U.S. government workers.

He, however, pleaded not guilty to the one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud.

If found guilty, the suspect faces up to 20 years in jail for wire fraud.
